Walking & Trekking

In Tanzania you have an opportunity to journey up to the peak of the famous iconic Mount Kilimanjaro. The world’s tallest free standing volcano lures thousands of trekkers each year.

Then there is Mount Meru which is often lost in the shadow of the nearby Kilimanjaro Mountain. This is Tanzanias second highest peak which offers a highly scenic trek to the top.

If you are not a mountain junkie then you can always do land treks in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a rugged scenic trekking with terrain varying from steep escarpments and grassy ridges to dense forest and volcanic peaks. You will simply have donkeys carry your supplies and a Maasai Guide to lead the way, your vehicle will drop you at the beginning of the trail and wait for you at the end of it.

You can also do walks in Arusha National Park with an armed ranger or camp out in the Serengeti  and Tarangire for a couple of nights visiting some of the areas that are permitted for walking safaris. We also have the bushmen at Lake Eyasi where you can experience an early morning hunt with the tribe for a couple of hours.
